McPherson’s Printing is an accredited Bulk Mail Partner with Australia Post. The purpose of the accreditation is to measure the performance of mail houses, as well as enhancing operations by streamlining the process of lodgment of mail using electronic process. This electronic web based system delivers a more efficient and effective process from start to finish.

McPherson’s Printing has received certification to two major Forest certification systems that promote the responsible and viable use of the world’s forests. An independent third party, SGS is accredited to do the certification against the two systems.

Accredited by SGS to the Endorsement of Forestry Certification (PEFC) Chain of Custody (CoC) program (PEFC TM).
Chain of Custody is the path taken by raw materials from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution. Simply put Chain of Custody (CoC) guarantees the promise made relating to the origin of a product. Products printed by McPherson’s Printing using FSC or PEFC paper will be entitled to display relevant logos. McPherson’s Certification registration numbers are SGS-PEFC/COC – 0300 and SGS-OCO-004121 for FSC.

McPherson’s Printing Group is an ongoing member since 2005 of environmental non-profit organisation, Greenfleet Australia. We have subscribed our entire fleet of corporate vehicles to the program, for which Greenfleet will plant trees, to offset the vehicle emissions, and help fight salinity and habitat loss in the Murray Darling Basin.

We have been a participant since 2003 in the Federal Government’s voluntary Greenhouse Challenge Plus program. This requires us to monitor our greenhouse gas emissions with the aim of reducing them each year.

In November 2007 McPherson’s Printing Group attained Gold member status of Grow Me the Money; a joint initiative of Vecci, Victorian Environmental Protection Authority and the Victorian State Government. Working with Grow Me the Money we have a comprehensive action plan for water saving, responsible use of natural resources and smarter waste management.

McPherson’s Printing Group was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001 in recognition of their sustained contribution to manufacturing excellence in Victoria.

Printing Industries Association of Australia is a national organisation for companies in the Australian printing, graphic arts, paper, packaging and paper products industry. McPherson’s Printing is actively involved in ‘think tanks’ providing assistance and support.

Accredited to Quality Management System; QMS – AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 expiring 18/09/2010. The certification covers the Quality Management System for printing and binding books, loose leaf publications, on-demand digital services and provision of fulfilment services including warehousing and mail distribution at all sites.

McPherson’s Printing Group Joined the Victorian Government’s Waste Wise program in 2007. Our aim as participants is to reduce our landfill waste by a significant amount. Over the past 12 months we have achieved a 70,000kg reduction in wastes going to landfill which is approximately 27% of McPherson’s Printing Groups annual total waste being diverted for recycling and 92 tonnes of greenhouse gas savings.
