Once upon a time
In 1946, in the Victorian country town of Maryborough, a business now known as McPherson’s made its first foray into printing when it began producing can labels.
Now, more than 60 years later, that same company is the leading book printer in Australia, with big names like Penguin, Pan Macmillan, Allen & Unwin, CCH, LexisNexis, Scholastic and Ausway among its many loyal clients. But books are just the beginning. With the latest digital printing technology at our fingertips, McPherson’s Printing Group is also a trusted name in commercial printing. In fact, we boast one of the largest loose leaf outputs in Australasia, producing some 20 million pages per month for businesses, governments and institutions both here and overseas.
Add it all up and we’re an integral part of everyday Australian life. Wherever someone’s relaxing with a novel, consulting a street directory, casting a vote – even solving Sudoku – chances are McPherson’s Printing Group is there with them.
And while our technologies are constantly evolving to stay at the cutting edge, our values of honesty, integrity and community haven’t changed. Despite fierce competition from overseas, we’ve remained proudly all-Australian. At a time when big business is deserting our regional towns for cheaper options off-shore, our state-of-the-art printing facilities in Maryborough continue to provide jobs for more than 300 locals, all while offering our clients the very best value-for-money.
Many of the people who work with us today have been involved in the printing industry for several decades. This unbroken lineage means we understand the printing business better than anyone else.
